My favourite family holidays

January

The first holiday of the year is New Year. The new year is

the most awaited holiday. Everyone in my family loves this

holiday. Everyone is waiting for Christmas magic. And

how I want to see the real Santa Claus when it is at night

putting presents under the tree! The new year is not only

the most fun holiday, but also the most delicious. How

many different dishes on the table! When the clock

strikes12, we cheer and make wishes. We are happy to

forget past offences and misunderstanding and start new

one with everything good.

February

My birthday is on the 12

th

of February. My sister’s

birthday is on the 22nd of February. Our family celebrates

two birthdays. This holiday is going to all of our extended

family. The preparation for this day begins in advance, we

draw up a guest list, make a menu. On this day all give

gifts and my mother bakes a delicious cake. We invite my

friends and relatives to the party. Birthdays are always fun

and unusual. We sing songs, dance, make jokes, play

games. I enjoy my birthday party and my friends too.

March

On the 8

th

of March we celebrate Women’s Day. On this

spring day, everything is filled with spring: the first rays

and smell of Mimosa. My sister, I and dad congratulate our

mom, grandmothers, aunt with women's day. The men are

supposed to do everything about the house and cook all

the meals. In this day women can take a break and forget

about all those dishes, cooking and can relax.

June

On the 1

st

of June is children's Day. This holiday has its

own flag: the globe on a green background, around which

a lot of colorful figures. On this day the children decided to

organize various celebrations: concerts , quizzes, games.

July

Another popular holiday is the Day of Family, love and

fidelity This holiday in our country is celebrated on the 8

th

of July. On this day you can arrange a cheerful picnic,

outdoor games.

September

The 1

st

of September is the Day of Knowledge .It is the

beginning of a school year. This holiday is known to all. On

this day all the students go to school with flowers for

teaches. There are meetings before the classes start.

October

On the 24

th

of October is my mother’s birthday. I like this day

very much. In the morning my father, my sister and I come to

my mother’s room and say “Happy birthday!”. My father and I

go to the shop to buy the things we need to the party. In the

evening come our relatives to congratulate my mother. They

bring flowers, sweets and birthday presents. I like this day.
